About the role

This positionrepresentsa second-line sales leader overseeing the Midwest Region of the United States, which includes Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana. The individual in this role will manage eight District Sales Managers and approximately eighty Pharmaceutical Sales Specialists. This role is critical to guiding the region through the launch of a new medication within the primary care customer segment.

Typical Accountabilities

  • Understands disease states and treatment protocols prevalent in primary care settings and varied healthcareenvironment, andableto influence healthcare providers through evidence-based discussions.

  • Use strong analytical objectivity to focus on prescribing patterns tooptimizeaccount strategies.

  • Effective resource management strategies toimpactlower-scale and high-frequency environments while enforcing accountability within sales plans.

  • Establish businessobjectives, evaluateperformanceand drive performance through effective execution of Brand strategies.

  • Ensure sales forecasts and operational budgets are met or exceeded within the therapeutic area at a regional level.

  • Fosters a Growth Mindset, and continuous learning and improvement. Leveragesnew technologyand data insights to capitalize on opportunities that improve patient care andstreamlinesprocess efficiency.

  • Communicates and implements a vision that resonates with broader organizational goals and local priorities of primary care.​

  • Inspires a culture that embraces curiosity, ownership,accountabilityand engagement within the entire team through mentoring,coachingand continuous feedforward.

Education, Qualifications,Skillsand Experience

EssentialQualifications

Desirable

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 8+ yrs ofdemonstratedSales, or Commercial experience or a combinationof:pharmaceutical, healthcare, scientific, clinical, institutional, or related industry

  • 5+ yrs proven leadership capabilities and/or people management experience 

  • A valid driver’s license and safe driving record

The annual base pay for this position ranges from $203,816.00 - 305,724.00 USD Annual.  Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
